Confovis confocal microscope

Confocal Microscope – Confovis

Optically confocal topography measuring system for sealing technology

How it works

The Confovis surface and lead measuring device is an optically confocal topography measuring system, developed especially for sealing technology applications. It captures technical surfaces with high spatial and vertical resolution.

An integrated rotation unit enables the measurement of rotationally symmetric sealing counterfaces. The Lead-Inspect software module is tailored to sealing technology and provides macro and micro lead measurements as well as 2D and 3D surface parameter evaluation.

The measurement principle is based on structured illumination with confocal evaluation, achieving vertical resolutions down to 3 nm (VDI 2655) and a spatial resolution of 267 nm (Rayleigh).
